Typical Uses: Pasta Sauce, Pizza Sauce, Italian Sauce for all dishes
INGREDIENTS: Salt, sugar, onion, potato starch, spices (including red pepper, turmeric and black pepper), corn maltodextrin, garlic, beet (color), dextrose, yeast extract, guar gum, and carrot.
To make 1 Quart Spaghetti Sauce
1 - 15 oz can tomato sauce
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup CIO Italian Sauce Seasoning
(¼ of this package)
1 lb lean ground beef, ground
1/2 cup diced onion
1 - 4 oz can sliced mushrooms
Variations: Use any combination of canned or fresh tomatoes - diced, stewed, puree, crushed, whole, or use paste to thicken the sauce.
1) In a lightly oiled 2 quart saucepan, cook onion and mushrooms for 2 - 3 minutes, until onions are translucent.
2) Add meat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until browned. Break up meat using spatula, into tiny pieces.
3)Add CIO Italian Sauce Seasoning, tomato sauce and water. Stir Well. Simmer uncovered for 3 - 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serves 4.
