Minors Dry Roux is a versatile, convenient dry mix without added MSG*. Replaces classic roux -- a cooked mixture of butter and flour used for thickening. It maintains comparable flavor characteristics with less fat than classic roux. Creates a velvety smooth, lump free texture that can be refrigerated and reheated with out breaking. Just add water and a Minors Base to make gravies that are lower in fat and cholesterol to those made with classic roux. Dry Roux contains no flavor so the pure taste of your seasonings comes through. Cream sauces can be made rich (heavy cream) or light (1%, 2% or skim milk). Dry roux thickens gravies, broths, soups and fruit sauces, as well as chocolate sauces, puddings and salad dressings. The new 10 oz. size thickens 1.2 gallon and the new 20 oz. size, 2.5 gallons. Recipes included.
